North Island

North Island is approximately 30km north-west of Mahé and 2km² in size. It was one of the first islands of Seychelles to be discovered and today offers a luxurious resort.

In the past, an unsuccessful copra plantation left the island with various types of plants and animals that negatively impacted the island’s natural state. Over the years, steps have been taken to regenerate Seychelles’ endemic species. Now the flora and fauna continue to grow and flourish. Endemic birds have begun to populate the island as well as hawksbill and green turtles.

Aside from its exclusivity and relaxing atmosphere, with gorgeous beaches to lay back and chill, the island also offers numerous activities. Snorkelling, diving, fishing, kayaking, yoga, walks and sunset cruises are a few that are offered at the islands resort.
