Silhouette Island

Silhouette is the third largest island at around 20km² and is situated approximately 20km from Mahé. There’s a tiny population of people there with the two main settlement areas being La Passe, where the port is, and Grand Barbe.

Silhouette is home to numerous endemic plants and animals including the Seychelles endemic pitcher plant. The whole interior of Silhouette is a national park and therefore much of the island itself remains undeveloped.

The island does have a 5-star hotel, the Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort and Spa. There are no roads or vehicles on Silhouette with the exception of a few electric carts belonging to the hotel.
